Surprise! 💖 We have our very own Dutchies cars!

Nooo way! This week we were surprised with something we could only have dreamed of. You may have already seen it on social media, but of course we have to share this amazing news here on The Dutchies Journal as well. We didn’t just get one, but TWO Dutchies cars sponsored!

How it all started....

The story actually began a while ago, when Autocentre Van Vliet approached us for a collaboration. In hindsight, Anne, our founder, had caught wind of it. "I remember hearing bits of it and thinking: cars… hmm no not needed," she laughs. Little did she know, the past few weeks our team had been secretly working hard on the surprise of her (and our!!) lives.

On Monday, when Anne was at the office, she was suddenly blindfolded. She was led outside, completely confused, and there stood the whole team waiting for her. When the blindfold came off, there they were: two beautiful cars, fully customized in our Dutchies style—a fantastic Fiat 500 Cabrio and a pink Topolino!

Of course, we couldn’t resist taking a test drive. Moments later, we were taking turns behind the wheel, driving our new additions everywhere. This incredible surprise was made possible in collaboration with Autobedrijf Van Vliet, who specially customized these amazing cars for us. How we started three years ago with a simple Dutchies cargo bike has now grown into two fantastic cars for our door—a dream we never imagined.

These eye-catchers have already been put to full use this week by the team for shoots, content, events—you name it. In short, you’ll be seeing them a lot more. So if you spot a cheerful, Dutchies-themed car somewhere soon, it’s us 👋 ! Don’t forget to wave!
